Welcome, fellow mourners and students of grief.

This website and its blog posts are dedicated to the true friend, healer and Great Physician who has been with me always loving, supporting, encouraging, and forgiving me during my life and especially during my grief journey.  If any healing takes place from these blog posts for anyone reading them, the glory goes to God and His Son Jesus Christ.

Since the deaths of my thirty-seven year old wife Cindy and two-year old daughter Katie in May 1993, I and my two surviving children have received support, comfort, encouragement and knowledge about the grief process from an ever-present and loving God through countless friends, family members and fellow mourners sent into our lives. Therefore, I am obligated to pass along the same love, support, comfort, encouragement and knowledge about grief and the God of All Comfort to others who are struggling after the death of a loved one.

I take seriously the charge given to those who have experienced the comfort of God in the message of 2 Corinthians 1:3-4:

All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah!  Father of all mercy!  God of all healing counsel!  He comes alongside of us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us.  We have plenty of hard times that come from following the Messiah, but no more so than the good times of his healing comfort–we get a full measure of that, too.

I want you to discover hope that you and your grief will change over time and the promise that you will have the resources to get through grief in healthy and healing ways.  I most importantly want you to experience the true healing of God and His Son Jesus Christ.

In your struggles in grief, God and the Savior Jesus Christ can be counted on to help you become more than just survivors….you become a conqueror.

To God be the glory.
